The goal of the event is to socialize the activities carried out in the area of Privacy, Security & Trust by the EIT Digital and promote the Data Economy, which is of ever-increasing importance in the era of digitalisation and pervasive usage of computing machines and smart devices in the cyberspace, for business, public administration and customers. Indeed, a growing availability of appropriately leveraged open data is bringing us into the Data Economy, a fil rouge for all the EIT Digital activities.
In particular, we aim at raising the awareness of all the players about the importance of timely data protection measures for the Data Economy to continue to grow smoothly and be widely accepted, enabling unprecedented user experiences in the free and safe cyberspace.
The participants in the event will include representatives of institutions from national to municipality levels, government agencies, industry and academia, especially in the security area, lawyers and legislative bodies, representatives of citizens and civil rights movements, as well as journalists that would help in divulging the information to the mass market and audience.
The event will be an opportunity to mingle with the EIT Digital partners and other stakeholders from our Business Community. The three-hour interactive programme will include interesting presentations and discussions. We look forward to your active participation in contributing novel ideas and sharing the experiences.
The backstage of the Milan EXPO 2015 (Samsung/TIM Pavilion) is perfect with its focus on a sustainable world that has to be “safe”.
Upon your registration, we will be pleased to send you a complimentary entry ticket to EXPO 2015. Please, find out here how to get to EXPO 2015.
